Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission
Karin Aschberger, is the coordinator of the Exploratory Research Programme at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. She has been managing the JRC activities contributing to Responsible Research and Innovation within the NewHoRRIzon project.
Karin has many years of experience as toxicologist in the chemicals risk assessment. Before joining the JRC Ispra, she worked in Austria for the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), at the Institute of Cancer Research and as teacher/lecturer. Karin has a PhD in Biochemistry and a degree in Toxicology, Nutrition Sciences and Philosophy/Psychology/Educational Sciences from the University of Vienna (AT).
