Ulrike Wunderle manages the VDW participation in the EU-funded NewHoRRIzon project.
She holds a PhD in international history with a focus on US nuclear physicists as political advisers during the Cold War. Since more than 10 years Ulrike leads projects in education communication on matters of sustainability, social justice, German and international history.
She is a founding member and executive director of the Bund für Bildung e.V. Taking a strong interest in responsible research she has been active in the German Student Pugwash Group and later in the German Pugwash Group.
From 2009 to 2014 she was a member of the advisory board to the VDW and from 2014 to 2015 executive director of the VDW.
